FSCJ Nassau Center to Open Medical Assisting Program

Florida State College at Jacksonville’s (FSCJ) Nassau Center is now offering the Medical Assisting Workforce Certificate (W.C.) program for students who are interested in training to enter the health care profession.
The Medical Assisting W.C. will prepare students to assist with medical exams, record their patients’ medical histories and vital signs, maintain medical records, file insurance claims and prepare billing. To enhance learning, students will also gain the hands-on, practical experience necessary to enter a medical assisting career within physicians’ offices and clinics.
Upon completion, graduates are qualified to take the Registered Medical Assistant examination to become a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
