Comcast Awarded State Grant to Expand Xfinity Internet Service to Additional Areas
Nassau County and Comcast are working together to bring high-speed internet services to several rural areas of the county, specifically those in the unincorporated areas of Becker, Bryceville, Dyal, Evergreen, Gross, Ingle, and Lessie, in Nassau County, with the State's Broadband Infrastructure Program making it possible.
Comcast will use the $9 million grant to expand its network in Nassau County. The grant program was created to expand broadband internet service to unserved areas of the state, helping to encourage job creation, capital investment, and the strengthening and diversification of local economies.
